One of the most common mistakes I see when it comes to social media marketing is when brands simply copy and paste the exact caption and photo amongst all platforms. Even worse is when they’re all uploaded at the identical time.

Not only are the demographics different between Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram but so is the intention we have when we visit them. On Instagram we go to see pretty pictures. LinkedIn is more business related while Facebook allows us to stay in touch with friends and family. Acknowledging those differences give you an upper hand in making a connection.

Think about it; how to talk at home may be different than work which is completely different than your tone at a sports game. Social media is the same.
