When starting a new career or launching into a new space the quickest and smartest way to determine what works is to study the most successful. Why take the time of finding out everything the hard way when you can learn from the best? This also goes for when you’re looking to redefine your brand.
In every industry there will be the standard bearers in not only how they innovate within the business but also how they’re using their personal brand to their benefit. As you’ll find success does leave clues even though there isn’t one way to becoming successful. However, if you can identity an individual or company you resonate with and study them: what they do, how they do it, what they wear etc. you’ll save yourself time and heartache.
I did this when I first started out my styling company. I compiled a list of companies and individuals that excelled in catering to my target demographic. Once I narrowed down the search to a few companies I would want to be compared with one day I began my research. This created a plethora of ideas and points of reference when launching my brand; and it can do the same for you!
